Attendease is a cloud-based, event management platform used by event and conference managers at organizations such as Adobe, SXSW, Brightedge, Atlassian, ESRI, Datto, and Pivotal.  We are all about creating world-class event experiences through creating a repeatable event campaign process and have built a modern SaaS platform to make that happen.  Our Gastown office is located in the iconic Sun Tower building, and is where our current team of 14 (and growing) staff plus a team of contractors work from.

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative in our Vancouver headquarters to join our sales team to build qualified pipeline. This role reports to the Sr. Dir of Sales, and entails working closely with the Marketing & Sales team to build momentum for mid-market and enterprise customers in our target markets.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and execute known strategies to drive more predictable revenue growth
  • Prospect, build, qualify and develop leads to create sales-ready opportunities
  • Research accounts, identify key players and gather intelligence to improve chances of success
  • Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections
  • Build and establish your tools and tactics for building qualified leads
  • Create focused outbound campaigns with an eye to detail needed to continuously improve conversion to qualified leads
  • Collaborate with other members of the team (customer success managers, leadership, and marketing.) to create positioning for customers
  • Be a part of building pipeline from list through to discovery and qualification
  • Consistently surpass qualified opportunity quotas to ensure revenue objectives are met
  • Become known as the go-to person that the sales team relies on to garner quality leads
  • Drive revenue through proactive outreach to key accounts.

Requirements

  • You are fluent in English
  • Your friends regularly tell you that you are a good listener and a great networker
  • Willingness to work your ass off and be the hero of the sales team
  • You are a detail-oriented, confident, dynamic and enthusiastic team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment
  • You are digital – you are versed in CRM, lead generation, the Google suite, and ideally marketing automation, preferably Hubspot.  Bonus if you have SaaS sales experience
  • Familiar with SaaS metrics and ideally the Predictable Revenue approach
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You have 2+ years of software experience in sales or marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS software
  • You are a self-motivated teammate that can act independently
  • You understand how to listen for and identify customer needs and successfully find solutions to customer pain
  • Proven critical thinker who solves difficult problems and confidently overcomes client objections
  • You have a post-secondary degree
  • This is a permanent position

Enterprise Account Executive

We are looking for an Enterprise Account Executive in our Vancouver headquarters to join our sales team and focus on enterprise customers in North America. We seek talent that is not afraid of hard work, and is eager to contribute to building a world-class company working in a collaborative team that is focused on winning together.  You will primarily be responsible for driving new sales opportunities with prospective customers as well as expanding business within your accounts. Important will be your ability to listen to and understand the needs and challenges of our customers, and ultimately to ensure strong fit between Attendease and their business objectives. This role reports to the Sr. Dir of Sales, and entails working closely with the Sales and Marketing team to build momentum for mid-market and enterprise customers in our target markets.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the full sales cycle from qualified lead to close

  • Establish lasting relationships with senior executives and decision-makers

  • Evangelize the Attendease value proposition through product demos, field customer events and account-specific initiatives

  • Construct, forecast and manage your sales activity and pipeline to meet and exceed targets

  • Help educate customers on the value of Attendease throughout their adoption cycle

  • Build awareness about Attendease and our value proposition at all levels of an account

  • Identify customer needs to ensure customer success with special emphasis on signup, upgrade, and renewal

  • Collaborate with other members of the team (customer success managers, leadership, and marketing.) to build strategic adoption plans for customers

  • Prepare and educate customers on new features and releases

  • Monitor and identify adoption and utilization trends

  • Serve as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas including product

  • Drive revenue through proactive outreach to key accounts.

Requirements

  • You are fluent in English

  • You are digital – you are fully versed in CRM, lead generation, the Google suite, and ideally marketing automation.  You have SaaS sales experience

  • Familiar with SaaS metrics and ideally the Predictable Revenue approach

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • You have 7+ years of software sales experience, preferably in B2B SaaS software sales

  • Successfully sold software into F1000 companies

  • You are a self-motivated teammate that can act independently

  • Experience interacting with, presenting to and selling to senior managers and the C-Suite

  • You have a consistent track record of identifying customer needs and successfully implementing solutions

  • You have documented success of meeting or exceeding target year over year

  • You get excited and have the drive and determination to close net new business

  • You are flexible, adaptive, and resilient

  • You have a post-secondary degree

  • Some travel required

We are looking for a Team Lead, Product Development  in our Vancouver headquarters to lead our development team as we accelerate our platform build-out. The Attendease platform, already with a strong enterprise feature-set, is undergoing a significant transformation to match the industry changes in event technology.  The Attendease team features a strong base of full-stack, web development, mobile and dev-ops capabilities. The Product team is focused on taking the Attendease platform to the next level.  Our tech stack includes: Ruby/Rails; Javascript/ES6/CoffeeScript; Javascript frameworks like Backbone/React, Node.js; JavaScript bundling tools like Webpack, Gulp, Sprockets; Databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis; HTML5, CSS, Sass; Unix/Linux/FreeBSD; Git/GitHub; and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

As the Team Lead, you’re part product manager, team leader, and part coder, and part of the senior management team – you love getting your hands dirty, lead by example, and have product and UI/UX sensibilities.

Here is what you’ll have the opportunity to do:

  • You are part of the leadership team and contribute to the overall direction, strategy and operations of the product development team and processes
  • You understand the role of the product manager, and can work with the CEO and others to craft MVP’s and feature roadmaps to gain velocity on new feature releases
  • You will lead the execution of the platform roadmap for our next phase of growth
  • Write new features, code reviews, fix bugs and overall write clean, efficient code
  • Be the tech lead and mentor for a team growing team of  7-20 developers ranging from junior through senior
  • Interface with external UI/UX advisors and consultants; manage external technical partners and contractors
  • Interact with sales, marketing, project managers and the leadership team to discuss how and what features should be built and in what order
  • Devise and support integrations between the various systems needed to run client sites using Attendease and integrating with other data sources / platforms
  • Own and manage testing and QA and the interface with the Support team by triaging platform related issues on current projects
  • Contribute to technical and end-user documentation concerning platform architecture and functionality
  • Contribute to and manage DevOps strategy and operations that runs and monitors the Attendease app infrastructure.

Here is what we think you should bring to the table to be successful at this role:

  • 7+ years full stack development experience with a majority of our tech – cloud based, distributed systems is a must
  • You’ve lead teams of 6-25 before through to successful market delivery
  • You’ve been in a leadership role before – as a Director or equivalent
  • You’re all about Agile methodologies
  • You are a firm believer in test-driven development
  • You’ve written unit tests before (both backend and frontend)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Computer Science Degree or Master’s degree, and a really good problem solver
  • Cross disciplinary experience where you have worked with Designers, Project Managers, Product Marketers and a Leadership team
  • You’ll be internal and externally facing so strong communication skills are a must – both written and verbal
